Tripoli, The President of the National Oil Corporation, “Mustafa Sanalla”, discussed with the Director General of Repsol Company, Libya Branch, Simone Simena, the monitoring and maintenance of the infrastructure in the El Sharara field, which would enable it to increase production rates and introduce solar energy technologies in the field.
During the meeting, which was held at the company’s headquarters in Tripoli, the General Manager of Repsol called for supporting the maintenance operations of the infrastructure in the El Sharara field so that the company can achieve its goals and drive the wheel of production in the coming years. He expressed the desire of Repsol to return to exploration activity in Libya and that it will conduct intensive and serious studies to transform its operations in the Sharara field in the future to generate solar energy and present the results of studies and evaluations to the Board of Directors of the Corporation upon completion.
