Oil Minister At Audience With British Ambassador Says His Ministry Political Forefront Of Oil-Related Activity.

Tripoli, The Oil Minister Mohamed Aoun said his Ministry was the political forefront of any political activity related to the oil sector that should not be trespassed, and that the National Oil Corporation and its companies mainly concerned with technical aspects of the oil activity.

This came at a meeting Aoun had with British Ambassador Nicholas Hopton at his office here, and attended by the Undersecretary for Production Affairs Ri’fat Al Abar, during which the two sides discussed cooperation frameworks between the two countries in the area of oil and gas.

Al Abar said at the meeting that the Oil Ministry was committed to training programs and academic studies of all areas in the institutions and universities in the United Kingdom, explaining that the National Oil Corporation has ambitious plans which it wanted to execute in UK universities and training centres.

He called on the British Ambassador to seek to facilitate entry visas to open training and educational prospects for oil sector professionals.
