Ministry of Oil: The Council of Ministers of “OPEC” Organization decides to drop the accumulated debts on Libya

Tripoli 13 December 2022 (Lana) the Council of Ministers of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) decided to drop the accumulated debts on Libya at about 20 million Libyan dinars.

This came during the participation of the Minister of Oil and Gas Mohammed Aoun, accompanied by representative of Libya to the Executive Council of the Organization, Counselor ,Adel Jibril, in the 109th meeting of the “OPEC” Council of Ministers in Kuwait at the organization’s headquarters.

The Ministry of Oil stated ,on its SMS Page, that the Libyan delegation presented an explanation of the circumstances of the accumulated debts, and a decision was taken to drop them.

During the meeting, decisions of many issues were taken, including approving the organization’s budget for the next year, discussing work to re-study the organization’s charter, and working to upgrade it to an organization that deals with all energies, including renewable energies.
