Tripoli, Minister of Oil and Gas of the Government of National Unity, Mohamed Aoun, called for correcting the legal status of the formation of the Board of Directors of the National Oil Corporation, which was formed illegally.
Aoun said in a letter addressed to the President of the Presidential Council and to the Prime Minister of the Government National Unity: The Foundation’s Board of Directors was “formed in violation of the laws and legislation establishing the Foundation and regulating its work.” And “the need to remedy this matter to correct the situation.” In his letter, Aoun suggested forming a board of directors for the corporation, with Taher Al-Qatani as chairman, and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil, Rifaat Al-Abbar, Ahmed Al-Ghazal, Al-Dukali Al-Zariqi and Mohamed Dango as members. It is not known yet the response to the minister’s proposal.
