Tripoli, 26 July, 2022 (Lana) – GNU Minister of Education, Musa Al-Maqrif, held a meeting with the Director of the World Food Program office in Libya, Misawi Al-Gharibawi, during which they discussed prospects for cooperation and activating the school Nutrition Fund as part of the ministry’s preparations for the launch of the new school year and implementation of the school feeding programme for primary school pupils.
The meeting, held at the Ministry’s office, Tuesday, in the presence of the Deputy Director of the Office, Yasuo Yuki Misawa, the programme’s school feeding officer, Muhammad Ashkal, and the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Al-Areef, also dealt with performance evaluation and the mechanism and efforts to activate the school feeding fund, in light of the memorandum of understanding that was signed between the ministry and the programme last August.
Emphasis was placed on benefiting from the outputs of universities in the field of school feeding to start with the primary stage, to be expanded to target all educational levels.
