Sabha – The mine and explosives removal team of the Southern Criminal Investigation Branch carried out a scanning and combing operation in different regions in Sabha, among an extensive campaign to completely clear the area of explosive remnants and mines expected to be in random places in the city, which has witnessed a number of clashes exchanges during last years.
The team dealt with approximately 12 mortar shells, 1 grenade launcher, 7 rocket launchers, 2 5-caliber SAM shells, 2 RPG shells, 4 Grad shells, 1 Hauser shell ,and 2 tank shells from remnants.
The Southern Criminal Investigation stated that they have dealt with these remnants with using technical methods, transferred and stored in the designated place until disposal.
