Tripoli, 22 September 2022 (Lana) Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army, General Mohamed Al-Haddad, met on Tuesday with the Head of the Italian Military Operations, Lieutenant General Filiolo, his assistant, and the Italian Ambassador to Libya Bucino, and the accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, which was held at the headquarters of the Army Staff in Tripoli and attended by the Chairman of the Libyan-Italian Military Cooperation Committee, the Chairman of the Military Operations Authority and the Director of the Department of Military Engineering – the Chief of Staff highlighted the close relations between Libya and Italy, and commended the role of Italy in supporting Libya in all international forums.
According to the Communication Office of the General Staff of the Libyan Army, the two sides discussed mechanisms of joint cooperation between the two countries on the military side, especially in the field of training.
