Lebanese caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati confirmed, today, Monday, the readiness to implement UN Security Council Resolution No. 1701 and send the army to the south of the Litani River.
Mikati said in a press statement: ‘The Speaker of Parliament, Nabih Berri, confirmed that immediately after the ceasefire, he will call for the election of a consensus President for the Republic.’
