The talks were led on the Libyan side by the Head of the Presidency Council Fayez Al Saraj and the Foreign Minister Mohamed Siala, and on the Maltese side by the Prime Minister Joseph Moscat and the Foreign Minister George Fila. The two sides discussed ways of combating terrorism and irregular migration. They also reviewed mechanisms of following up the conditions of members of the Libyan community living in Malta, facilitating visas and residence in Malta, and re-opening the Maltese embassy in Tripoli shortly. The Head of the Presidency Council arrived in Malta on Wednesday, at the invitation of the Maltese Government. He was accompanied by the Delegate Foreign Minister Mohamed Siala. He was welcomed by the Prime Minister of Malta Joseph Moscat and the Foreign Minister George Fila, as well as Libya's Ambassador to Malta Al Habib Lamin.
