Tripoli-A spokesman for the Libyan Foreign Ministry has denied reports on SMS media that money has been stolen from the Libyan Embassy in Washington describing them as baseless. The Ministry's Communication Office quoted the Spokesman as saying the Embassy was following up the case from the beginning and managed to retrieve the amount. It said the fraud case investigation coincided with presence of a delegation from the Libyan Audit Office which praised the Embassy's effort. The News of the incident was highlighted in the media now after the verdict was delivered on the accused who was jailed for 20 years, said the Spokesman who demanded that SMS services and activists make sure they do not fell victim of false news and to directly liaise with the Ministry for true news.
