Rome, Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio called for the need to focus on the elections scheduled to be held in Libya on December 24, expecting them to be free and fair, and reiterated his country’s firm commitment to Libya.
This came, in a post on his Facebook account, on Tuesday, commenting on his recently concluded visit to Libya, which included the capital, Tripoli, Benghazi and Tobruk. “We are working tirelessly and the results are coming,” Di Maio said, adding that the first goal that was undoubtedly achieved was the birth of a national unity government, which was unimaginable a year ago, as he put it.
