Kurdistan Democratic Party President Masoud Barzani discussed with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian the general situation in Iraq and the region today, Thursday.
A statement from his media office stated that Barzani received the Iranian president today, Thursday, who arrived in Erbil this morning, coming from Baghdad.
During the meeting, according to the statement, views and opinions were exchanged on the general situation in Iraq and the region, and emphasis was placed on coordination and strengthening relations between the Kurdistan Region and the Islamic Republic of Iran in the political, economic and cultural fields.
During the meeting, President Pezeshkian also extended an official invitation to Barzani to visit the Islamic Republic of Iran.
