Tripoli, The Ministry of Interior of the National Unity Government celebrated this evening, Saturday, the 57th anniversary of the Libyan Police Day, which falls on the eighth of October each year.

The celebrations, which were held in Martyrs Square in the capital, Tripoli, were attended by the Vice Presidential Council, Musa Al-Koni, Abdullah Al-Lafi, the Head of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Al-Dbaiba, the Minister of Interior, Khaled Mazen, the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Adel Jumaa, the Minister of Justice and a number of ministers. and mayors of municipalities, in addition to the presence of a number of representatives of the heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Libya.

The Libyan News Agency correspondent, who accompanied the events of this event, stated that the celebration was also attended by heads of agencies, interests and bodies, directors of security directorates, directors of departments, heads of offices, heads of centers, and police officers at the Ministry of Interior.

Following the speeches on the occasion, the commander of the military parade proceeded to obtain permission from the Prime Minister to start a parade of symbolic units from the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Justice.

The parade led the police band in front of the main podium, followed by the banner campaign, led by the flag of the nation, the independence flag carried by its sons from the security services of the Ministry of Interior.

Symbolic units from Coastal Security, Police Aviation, the National Safety Authority, the Tripoli Security Directorate, the Centers and Facilities Security Department, the Passports, Nationality and Foreigners Affairs Department, the Judicial Police Service, the General Department for Central Support, the General Department for Combating Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances, the General Department for the Protection of Electric Power and the Administration also participated in the review. The General Directorate for the Protection of Diplomatic Missions, the General Administration of Security Operations, the Special Operations Force, the General Department of Traffic and Licensing, the Police Officers College, the General Investigation Service, the Explosives Unit of the Criminal Investigation Agency, and the Anti-Terrorism Force.
