iGA Chief Executive announces flexible document delivery options

Manama, The Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA) has signed a partnership agreement with delivery service providers Aramex and Boxout Express, aimed at offering fast and flexible document delivery services for government online services. This initiative follows the directives of His Excellency General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Ministerial Committee for Information and Communication Technology (MCICT), and aligns with the government’s digital transformation strategy.

Mohammed Ali Al Qaed, iGA Chief Executive, highlighted that this collaboration reinforces the government’s commitment to working with the private sector, a key partner in national development. It responds to public feedback received through platforms such as the National Suggestions and Complaints System (Tawasul).

The service allows citizens and residents to select their preferred delivery company, method, time, and location for receiving official documents, both within Bahrain and ab
road. Customers can also reschedule delivery times and track the status of their delivery in real time. Bahrain Post will also be available as a delivery option. This new service will improve the speed and efficiency of government document delivery, particularly in urgent cases.

In its first phase, the service will cover documents issued by the iGA and the General Directorate of Traffic at the Ministry of Interior, with plans to extend the service to all government entities.

Al Qaed emphasised that this partnership with the private sector promotes competition, creativity, and innovation, contributing to the development of a reliable national ecosystem for delivering official documents.

The agreement was signed by Mohammed Ali Al Qaed, alongside Yanal Anz, General Manager of Aramex Bahrain, and Ali Isa Khalil Al Askari, General Manager of BoxOut Express, in the presence of Dr. Zakareya Ahmed Al Khaja, iGA Deputy Chief Executive of Electronic Transformation, and other officials from both sides.
