Hon. Mrs Nana Oye Lithur To Address Maiden Edition Of Women In Business Conference

Feb 2015

The first Ghana Women in Business conference has been scheduled for the 26th and 27th of February, this year.

The Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, and Guest of Honour and Keynote Speaker, Hon. Mrs Nana Oye Lithur, is expected to address the meeting on government policies and interventions for the Ghanaian women entrepreneur.

The Conference, the largest gathering of women in business and leadership in Ghana, will provide a high level networking platform for influential women entrepreneurs to exchange ideas and dialogue on issues related to entrepreneurship and leadership.

It is being organized by Occupational Management Limited (OML Africa), an international management consultancy specializing in human resource, recruitment and training.

The objectives of the conference include the provision of insights from high level speakers on their entrepreneurial journey of success; creation of powerful networks to drive results; the positioning of businesses as a competitive powerhouse; and accessing new trends   accelerating women across industries.

The others are a chance to win a free one-year Gold Membership to an online resource of business videos worth $200; gaining insights on capacity building initiatives, skills development and mentorship; and the free listing in OML’s online women-owned business directory.

In a statement issued ahead of the meeting, Mr Paul Asinor, Event Director, OML Africa, said the meeting was being organized against the background of the fact that the socio-economic development of Ghana had, one way or the other, been driven by women entrepreneurs who had contributed to put the Ghanaian economy at a level where it was now.
