Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar asserted the importance of societal and developmental cooperation between the public and private sectors to improve the quality of the healthcare services, thus offering better medical service to the citizens.
This came during Abdel Ghaffar’s meeting with CEO of The Sovereign Fund of Egypt (TSFE) Ayman Sulieman and Chairman of health secondary fund Hisham Moussa to discuss investment opportunities and cooperation in the health field.
In a statement on Thursday 19/1/2023, Spokesman for the Health Ministry Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said that the meeting discussed investment opportunities and means of attracting private sector companies to cooperate in the file of health care.
He added that the ministry adopts a developed strategy that aims at sharing and exchanging points of view and expertise in addition to working on putting a future vision that aims at increasing the efficiency of medical services to cope with the international standards.
He said that cooperation between the public and private sectors are important for achieving the goals of sustainable development.
The meeting tackled investment opportunities in the medicine sector and the accomplishments of the Egyptian state in the file of pharmaceutical industry, he added.
The meeting also discussed putting a future vision to invest in the field of manufacturing medical equipment and devices, the spokesman said.
