The Head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, Head of the Union of Arab Journalists, Moayad Al-Lami, affirmed: “The role of the press is important and will be prominent by introducing citizens and politicians to the development project and its benefits.”

Al-Lami said in a televised interview: “Most of the conferences that we will hold will contribute to strengthening the development project.”

He added, “We put together a program full of the Iraqi National Press Day, on its 154th anniversary, for the delegations coming to Baghdad.”

He explained: “The program will be a big carnival presented by all the provinces, and it will also witness the honoring of the families of the martyrs of the Iraqi press in the war against ISIS, by the Prime Minister.”

Al-Lami, affirmed: “We will invest the celebration of the Iraqi Press Day by introducing citizens to the development road project, and we will support the Prime Minister with this project.”

He said in a televised statement: “The reconstruction projects now are real and we support them strongly, and we will witness new projects soon.”

He added: “The program for celebrating the Press Day includes a visit by the guests to the Iraqi Museum to see the civilization of Iraq that extends for more than 6 thousand years.
