Head Of Government Of National Unity And Member Of Presidency Council On Visit To Al Zawiyah For Firsthand Account Of Projects Underway In The City.

Al Zawiyah, The Head of the Governemnt of National Unity Abdul Hamid Al Dbeiba and Member of Presidency Council Abdullah Al Lafi, flanked with a number of ministers, paid a visit to the city of Al Zawiyah on Saturday, to get a firsthand account of the projects being executed in the city in the areas of education, health, housing and transport.
The Inhabitants of the city expressed their appreciation for the visit, which they said, reflected the attention the Government is giving to the cities, especially in terms of services that directly affect the lives of the citizens.
Member of the Presidency Council Al Lafi said ‘the current phase necessitated that the Presidency Council support the Government efforts on all levels, to provide services for our people up to the Dec 24 elections.’
He called on the House of Representatives and the High Council of State to shoulder their responsibilities to produce the election law, and provide support for the Presidency Council in their effort to push the National Reconciliation Council and unify the Military.
On his part, the Head of the Government of National Unity Abdul Hamid Al Dbeiba said in remarks at the visit that the Government would not hesitate to work, to provide services for the population either in Al Zawiyah or other Libyan cities.
‘We want Al Zawiyah to be a model of how can Libyans accomplish, and defend societal peace, because Al Zawiyah was the city that gave honorable examples in pursuing science, politics, trade and the jihad against colonialism.
The Head of Government then invited heads of executive bodies responsible for development of administrative centres, roads, housing, and other projects in the areas of education and health to speak about their responsibilities.
The Head of the Administrative Centres project said 10 projects were activated and under construction, including the Al Zawiyah University Hospital, the Reference Clinic as well as 18 schools in different parts of the municipality.
The Municipality said a number of roads would be built while existing others would be maintained.
