GNA Minister of Social Affairs attends conclusion of the 16-day campaign against violence against women in Tripoli’s Martyrs’ Square.

Tripoli, Tripoli’s Martyrs’ Square on Friday witnessed the closing ceremony of the 16-day Orange Campaign against Violence against Women in the presence of Minister of Social Affairs Wafa Al-Kilani, Ministry undersecretaries, a number of heads of international organizations and bodies accredited to Libya, NGOs and civil society organizations.

The Minister delivered a speech, at the beginning of the ceremony, in which she welcomed all participants in the end of this social demonstration, which is of interest to Libyan women, and Arab and international women in general, stressing the importance of combating of all kinds of violence against women and promoting peace and justice throughout the country.

The minister announced that the Ministry of Social Affairs is preparing a bill to pass a law against cyber violence against women.
