GCC Secretary General receives outgoing US Embassy Chargé d’Affaires

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary General Jassem Mohamed Al Budaiwi received outgoing Chargé d’Affaires at the US Embassy in Saudi Arabia, Martina Strong,

Strong congratulated Al Budaiwi on his appointment as GCC secretary general, wishing him success in his new post.

The secretary general stressed the importance of strengthening strategic partnership between the GCC and the US to serve mutual interests, and contribute to the enhancement of regional and international security and stability.

The meeting also discussed the outcome of the three Gulf-US working groups that held their meetings in Riyadh on February 13-16, the Fourth GCC-US Trade and Investment Dialogue meeting held on March 9 and the joint message from GCC Foreign Ministers to their US counterpart regarding Israeli statements denying the existence of the Palestinian People.
