Tripoli: Dutch Ambassador to Libya Joost Klarenbeek has expressed his satisfaction with the progress of the municipal councils’ electoral process during a meeting with Libya’s Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Taher Al-Baour. The meeting, which took place at the Ministry, focused on enhancing and developing bilateral relations between the Netherlands and Libya, as well as exchanging views on issues of common interest.
According to Libyan News Agency, Ambassador Klarenbeek commended the distinguished level of organization evident in Libya’s municipal council elections. The discussions also included arrangements for an upcoming visit by a delegation from the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Tripoli, which is scheduled for December 2024. The meeting underscored the commitment of both nations to strengthening their diplomatic ties and fostering cooperation on various fronts.
