During His Visit To Morocco, “Dbaiba” Stresses The Need To Activate The Arab Maghreb Union And Revitalize It.

Rabat, The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity “Abdul Hamid Dbaiba” expressed his aspiration to hold the ninth meeting of the Libyan-Moroccan Joint Higher Committee, which has not met since 2009.

In statements reported by the media after his meeting with Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita in Rabat, Dbaiba stressed that the joint Libyan-Moroccan consular committee held its meeting, which was agreed upon during the meeting of the foreign ministers of the two countries over the past period and their recent understandings in Rabat.

He said that holding the joint Libyan-Moroccan consular committee will facilitate the granting of visas, studies, residence and all activities of life between the two brotherly countries.

He also stressed the necessity of activating the Arab Maghreb Union and spreading its spirit in a way that contributes to setting strategies and plans to activate the Maghreb relationship and overcome all the difficulties and challenges it faces.

Dbaiba pointed out that his visit today to Rabat comes within the framework of communication with the Kingdom of Morocco and the strengthening and development of bilateral relations in all fields to serve the interests of the two brotherly peoples.

The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity also expressed his appreciation and gratitude to His Majesty King Mohammed VI and the Moroccan government and to the efforts made to unify the institutions of the Libyan state and to stabilize Libya politically and security. He affirmed that his visit today to his second country, Morocco, is nothing but evidence of the sincerity of the brotherhood that binds the two brotherly Libyan and Moroccan peoples.

Dbaiba said that the common historical value and the strong social relations that unite the peoples of the two countries gave an impetus to strengthen them and fortify them from tension and external interference, stressing that the Libyan-Moroccan relations are not a product of the moment, but rather solid and renewed since ancient times.
