Tripoli, 23 April 2017 (Lana) Deputy Minister of Interior, Col Abdusalam Ashur Sunday held broad meeting at Tripoli Security Directorate that included directors of inspection and follow up, Public relations and Cooperation, and Legal affairs at the ministry, and security directorates of Tripoli, Qaser Ben Ghashir, Ras Al-Ghazzal, and representatives of security directorates of neighbouyirng areas, head of some agencies and the Security Arrangement committee. The meeting with security leaderships discussed mechanisms to reactivate security work and the plan to secure greater Tripoli and the surrounding area through Ministers of Interior agencies and authorities responsible for enforcing the rule of law with the objective of realizing security, stability and safety of the public. The deputy minister said the plan which came at the instructions of President of the Presidency Council of GNA, Fayez Serraj, would be implemented by all relevant agencies of the ministry of Interior and defense, and others to lay down a security plan for greater Tripoli. In statement to Lana, the minister underlined the importance of the role of the media in educating and enlightening the public in Tripoli and across the country to collaborate and seriously stand with the specialized security bodies to increase security performance to secure and protect all utilities and properties within and outside Tripoli.
