Conclusion of the International Monetary Fund’s meeting of experts in Tunisia with Al-Kabeer and a number of Libyan officials

Tunis – the meeting of a number of International Monetary Fund “IMF” experts concluded in Tunis yesterday ,which was held from November 7 to 12 ,with Governor of Central Bank of Libya “CBL”, Al-Saddiq Al-Kabeer, and Representatives of GNU-Ministry of Economy and Trade, Finance Ministry, Planning Ministry, and Statistics and Census Authority, in addition to Directors of the relevant departments of the CBL.

A statement which published by the CBL on its SMS page, that the meetings were in preparation for the return of Article 4 of the consultations which have been suspended since 2014, and the experts discussed reality of the Libyan economy and the stages it went through during last years, and the measures taken to limit the negative effects created by the successive crises.

The IMF praised the efforts of the CBL in maintaining the financial sustainability of the country, and ability of the CBL to manage the crisis in the country in light of the exceptional circumstances it is going through, according to the statement.
