Chairperson of the African Union Commission: The preparatory forum for the reconciliation conference calls for optimism, and the Libyans will be at the level of the bet

Tripoli- The envoy of the Chairman of the High-level African Commission on Libya, Congo Brazzaville Foreign Minister, “Jean-Claude Jakoso,” renewed his support for the efforts of the Presidential Council to reach a comprehensive reconciliation that would spread throughout the country.

Jakoso said in a speech he delivered at the launch of the preparatory forum for the National Reconciliation Conference today, Sunday, “The world is watching what is happening in Libya, and the convening of this forum calls for optimism, and that the Libyans will be at the level of betting in reaching a comprehensive reconciliation.”

He called for the cooperation of all Libyan parties to play their role in dealing with the crisis, since reconciliation represents the lifeline in Libya.

For his part, the Chairman of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki, affirmed that the African Union will remain supportive of Libya, and that the convening of the inclusive conference will be a huge step towards establishing national reconciliation on the basis of justice and fairness and rejecting division.

Faki pointed out that national reconciliation is the backbone of the process. We are free and fair elections to get out of the crisis, and that the African Union will be on the side of the Libyans without conditions.
