Batili praises the role of the Presidential Council in supporting international efforts in Libya.


Tripoli, The President of the Presidential Council, "Mohammed Al-Manfi," affirmed the Council's support for all efforts made to reach parliamentary and presidential elections before the end of the year 2023, provided that they are based on national ownership.

This came during his meeting today, Tuesday, in Tripoli, with the Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, "Abdullah Batili," according to what was published by the media office of the President of the Council on his official Facebook page.

During the meeting, Batili gave the President of the Presidential Council a full briefing on his recent meetings and talks on Libya, in addition to his recent briefing to the Security Council.

Batili stressed the importance of the role played by the Presidential Council in supporting the efforts of the United Nations in Libya, and reconciling all Libyan parties as a neutral body that stands at the same distance from all parties.
