New York-President of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Al-Mnefi met on Tuesday morning, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, the Secretary-General of the United Nations António Guterres, to discuss the latest developments in the situation in the country.
During this meeting, António Guterres stressed his great interest in the Libyan file and his full support for the efforts of the Presidential Council in achieving the stability necessary to achieve the electoral due.
Al Mnefi congratulated the Secretary-General on his selection of Abdullah Pathili as Special Representative of the Secretary-General on Libya, expressing his readiness to cooperate fully with him to move the political process forward, especially the completion of the constitutional basis, stressing that the Presidential Council remains ready to intervene whenever necessary.
