Cairo, The Egyptian Assistant Foreign Minister for European Affairs, Ambassador “Badr Abdel-Aty”, discussed in a consultation session in Cairo with the Deputy Secretary-General of the Foreign Service of the European Union “Enrique Mora” and the accompanying delegation a number of regional and international files, chief among them Security and political developments in Libya.

According to what was published by the official page of the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two sides exchanged views on a number of regional and international files, including Libya, Palestine, Syria and Lebanon, the situation in Afghanistan, and issues of disarmament and combating terrorism.

The political consultations were held in the presence of the European Union ambassador in Cairo, in addition to the assistant foreign ministers for African affairs, Libya, the permanent representative of Egypt to the Arab League, the assistant minister of health and population, and the deputy assistant foreign ministers for European Union affairs and human rights, and the countries of West and Central Asia. and directors of the Terrorism, Migration, and Disarmament Unit, and West and Central Asia, in addition to the President of the Cairo International Center for Conflict Resolution and Peacekeeping.
