President of the Presidential Council Mohammed Al Mnefi reaffirmed readiness of the Presidential Council to adopt all proposals, which contribute to addressing the political stalemate in Libya, and bringing together views among all parties to the political process, in order to reach parliamentary and presidential elections as soon as possible. This came during a meeting Al Mnefi held in Tripoli on Wednesday with a number of heads of political parties, to discuss the latest political situation in the country.
The heads of the parties declared their full support for the steps taken by the Presidential Council as representative of unity of Libyan territory, to achieve the project of national reconciliation, to bring the parties together and to reunite the Libyans.
The meeting discussed ways to solve some of the current problems, especially political and security issues, by submitting proposals that would contribute to progress towards peace and stability in Libya.
