Al Koni And MPs From South Listen To What Bujnah Had To Say About Government Plans For The South.

Tripoli, A meeting between Member of the Presidency Council Musa Al Koni and MPs from the Sothern region on Saturday was devoted to discussing Government plans to improve living conditions for the citizens in the southern region deemed as an urgent matter.

Al Koni who was answering a request from MPs from the southern region listened to what the Deputy Head of the Government of National Unity Ramadan Bujnah had to say about his visit to the South and Government of National Unity plans to better living conditions for the local communities in the region.

The discussion centred on the services file, as well as migration, airports, empowerment of the youth and other issues.

The Member Presidency Council and the MPs were briefed on the solutions put forward by the Government to resolve the problem of transport by getting airports in the region up and running again and contributing to resolving obstacles and problems faced by the agricultural sector.

A Member for Morzug Mohamed Adam briefed the attendants on the problems faced by the city of Morzug notably the displaced and those affected by war in the area.

The participants underscored the need to join ranks on a concerted effort to work towards an end to the problems faced by the southern region, suggesting that introduction of solar energy would do very much good to the region; to resolve the problem of frequent power outages. They also called for a solution to be urgenty found for the problem of fuel and support for the municipalities to enable them to serve their communities.

Sources told the Libyan news agency, Al Koni and Bujnah’s visit to the South was a follow up of the visit by the Head of the Government of National Unity Abdul Hamid Al Dbeiba and ministers to the southern region to take a firsthand account of the measures taken to put in practice Government measures to improve living conditions for the southern communities.

The sources said Al Koni promised the local leaders he met, that he would work with the Presidency Council and the Government of National Unity to resolve the bottlenecks facing the population of the southern region describing the demands they put through as their rights.
