Al-Huwaij: Italy is Libya’s largest economic partner with a trade volume of $15 billion

Tripoli, The Minister of Economy and Trade of the Government of National Unity, Muhammad Al-Huwaij, said today, Monday, that Italy is the largest economic partner for Libya, with a trade exchange volume of $15 billion.

This came in a speech by Al-Huwaij during the opening of an exhibition of Italian industries organized by the Libyan-Italian Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the Libyan Ministry of Economy and Trade.

Al-Huwaij called on the agents of Italian industries in Libya to consider localizing these industries in Libya to ensure a long-term partnership and focus on vital sectors such as industry, agriculture and services.

The exhibition is witnessing a workshop under the title (Future Outlook for Localization of the Industry) aimed at exchanging commercial knowledge and policies related to accelerating procedures and removing restrictions facing agents as part of a comprehensive strategy to promote trade and increase economic growth.
