Tripoli, The Head of the Government of National Unity Abdul Hamid Al Dbeiba has issued a decision to form a committee to be assigned with reforming and upgrading the information sector, and will supervised by the Minister of State for Communications and Political Affairs.
The decision named Abdul Razag Al Dahesh as the chairman of the committee, and Jalal Othman, Fathi Omema, Atiya Bani, Munir Muftah, Mohamed Al Asfar, Salima Bin Nuzha, Ali Jaber, Farida Treishan and Ayad Al Osheibi as members.
The decision stipulated that the committee put in place the needed proposals and envisions for reforming and upgrading the information sector in line with the Head of Government circulation No 8 of 2021 which addressed demands of journalists for reform of the information.
The committee was allowed freehand to consult with all concerned with the information business and civil society organizations to feedback on measures needed to reform the sector.
The Committee will have to feedback to the Head of the Government on its work.
