Tunis 31 August 2022 (Lana) Al-Areej International Medical Services Company in Tunisia announced it has stopped its services to Libyan patients, who are receiving their treatment in Tunisian clinics for oncology diseases.

A number of Libyan patients and their companions in Tunisia in contacts with Libyan News Agency, stated that they were told, when asked about the reasons either by the Libyan Embassy or the hospitals, that they were because of the debts requested by the clinics.

A number of patients explained that not receiving theirs doses, whether chemotherapy, laser or nuclear, on time, compounded their health problems and delayed their recovery.

The Libyan citizens called on the Ministry of Health to give the issue utmost attention ,especially since their financial conditions don’t allow them to pay for the large expenses of the cancer treatment.
