AUSTIN, Texas, June 1, 2016/PRNewswire/ –New proprietary tool VerityQC and new matter type-specific quality control checklists provide enhanced reliability and thoroughness for the quality control of all production deliverables
As part of Advanced Discovery’s ongoing, company-wide commitment to investing in the best quality control processes and tools, Advanced Discovery is proud to announce the implementation of both new matter type-specific checklists and a new proprietary quality control application VerityQC. The checklists adapt processes to demanding matter types, and the application performs thorough, automated quality control checks of production deliverables.
“As production volume and complexity have both increased, manual quality control processes alone have become unequal to the task of ensuring the accuracy and completeness of production deliverables,” says Vicky Reznik, Client Services Manager. “No human analyst can double-check all of the thousands of linked files or load file values for issues or omissions, but VerityQC can.” She continues:
We‘ve also leveraged our extensive experience with demanding matter types, like second
requests, to create custom quality control checklists specific to the production format
requirements, content requirements, and other peculiarities of those matter types.
Developed over the past year, VerityQC has now been implemented as Phase 1 of a two phase quality control process to which all production deliverables are subjected. Phase 2 involves a series of spot checks and samples by a human analyst – guided by a proprietary, matter type-specific checklist – to confirm VerityQC’s assessment of the deliverable, to review any issues VerityQC flagged, and to check production elements beyond VerityQC’s scope.
Rick Hutchinson, Chief Operating Officer, had this to say:
Quality control is crucial aspect of all litigation support services, regardless of
matter type, and Advanced Discovery is committed to continuous investment and
improvement in that area. We are proud of the upgrade that this new two-phase
process represents in both the thoroughness and efficiency of what we can do for
our clients to ensure the accuracy and completeness of their deliverables in all cases.
