A Saudi delegation arrives in Libya to discuss reopening the Kingdom’s embassy in Tripoli

A delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia arrived in Tripoli, headed by the Minister Plenipotentiary and Deputy Director General of the General Administration for Arab and African Countries Affairs, Abdullah bin Fahd Al-Shammari.

The delegation was received at Maitiqa International Airport, Director of the Arab Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Khalifa Al-Qaidi, and Director of the Administrative and Financial Affairs Department, Rashid Abu Ghafah.

During the reception, the Director of the Arab Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed the depth of the historical relations that bind Libya and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Libya’s keenness to strengthen and advance them in order to achieve the common interests of the two brotherly peoples.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation indicated in a statement that the visit of the Saudi delegation aims to prepare the necessary arrangements to reopen the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Tripoli.
